You're french property estate agents. Why the blog?

YOU would be forgiven for thinking that a blog is pointless on a website that advertises property for sale in the Dordogne.

However, at premierfrenchproperty.com, we like to think of the blog as an innovative twist to marketing property and commenting on all things France.

Traditionally, property websites took a presciptive approach to advertising. For the most part they still do.

Our eventual aim is to establish a community of like minded individuals who can contribute useful articles that everyone benefits from. And that's where the Blog comes in.

Register by creating an account to set up your own blog on premierfrenchproperty.com and immediately start posting articles. It's easy.

The subject matter can be anything. We're all about french property. Naturally, when we post articles they will most likely be about an interesting house we want to tell you more about, such as its history or more about the area it's in.

There's the farmhouse near Eymet in the Dordogne, for example,  that was used by the French resistance during World War II as a safe house for British airmen. Something a bit more than the write-up in the property description.

What people write about doesn't have to be anything to do with buying or selling houses.

You may have moved to France and want to tell us about the renovation project you're working on. You could write volumes about how the mid-day to 2pm lunchtime in France is to blame for the fact that you're three years into a six month build. Blog about it!

You could be a landscape gardener with tons of great advice to offer people. What plants grow well in the Dordogne that couldn't be grown back home or top tips on designing your garden. Blog about it!

You could be a smallholder with extensive knowledge of breeding chickens and would like to share it with us. You'd be a lifesaver to the retired city banker who fancies sampling the 'good life' in France. Blog about it!

Or maybe you own a vineyard and produce a wine that would give any Bergerac, Duras or Bordeaux a run for their money.

Of course, you don't have to live her to take part. If you live in Quebec tell us about those interesting nuances of the French language that exist between both countries.

So, that's the big idea. The blog is where we comment on the things we have an opinion about.

If you have something to say. Blog about it!
